Background
Eloise Erasmus is a licensed psychologist offering individual and couples therapy to adults. Promoting self-awareness, compassion and self-empowerment is central to her approach.
Eloise’s areas of clinical specialty include trauma, anxiety, depression, adjustment and eating disorders. She is trained in psychodynamic, cognitive behavioral, relational and family systems therapies, internal family systems (IFS), integral theory, transpersonal development, Tonglen practice and meditation. Eloise has a M.A. and Ph.D. in Psychology from the New School University in New York, a M.A. in Culture & Spirituality from the Sophia Center in California, and a B.A. in Anthropology from the University of Chicago.

At Aslan Institute, Eloise teaches courses on human development and on the Evolution of Consciousness. She also co-leads Tonglen practice groups and psycho-spiritual pilgrimages in the US and internationally. Previously, Eloise taught courses on the Social Psychology of Gender and on Stereotypes, Prejudice and Discrimination at Eugene Lange College in New York. Born in South Africa and having lived in Europe, Africa and Asia, she is sensitive to culture, race and gender issues. Eloise is dedicated to promoting social justice in the world through healing the world from the inside out.
