“Primordial” in this workshop refers to sound from the beginning, or the Sound of Creation, the Sound of the Universe.

Charisse has sung and has recorded more than 300 hymns. While she’s singing, she sings in words and melodies she has never heard before. She lets them express themselves through her with no idea of their meaning. The words, it turns out, are precursors to the earliest spoken languages of India. They translate into deep and profound messages of healing not only for our own individual work, but for the healing of the world.

We will explain how this is possible in quantum mechanics, and how the connection that occurs in Charisse through deep meditation, leading to this particular expression, is possible for all humans in their unique way. The expectation is not that you will begin singing sacred hymns, but instead that the spiritual DNA of creation that informs Charisse with the hymns also informs you and is waiting to be realized.

You will experience a hymn through a variety of meditations, movement, sound, and study of its translation, to enliven your awareness of how Sacred Sound affects you and is an integral part of your being. You will leave with an individual path forward in your own work of uncovering the Primordial Sound of Creation in you and how it wishes to express itself through you.
