Background
“Our greatest glory is not in never falling, but in rising every time we fall.” ~ Confucius

We all fall down or feel stuck at points in time. Sometimes we zig when we wanted to zag or our path turned left when we thought it would go right. It’s quite simply the journey of life. Sometimes we right the ship on our own and other times we just need a hand to get back on course. Let me be that hand for you.

I am equipped with not only professional credentials, but life experience and a whole lot of fortitude. In fact, the areas that I now consider “specialties” arrived from what were once my own darkest days. Having “walked the walk” as they say, allows me to treat my own clients from a perspective of true empathy, authenticity, and offer hope when a season of life otherwise feels hopeless.
I received my BA in Psychology with an emphasis in Sports Psychology from Florida State University. Eventually I went on to earn a MA in Clinical Psychology with an emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy from Pepperdine University. After relocating back to MN several years ago, I obtained my license as a Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC), certified as a Clinical Trauma Professional (CCTP), and became a Board Approved Clinical Supervisor. I have completed multiple skills trainings to assist in treating complex trauma, including ART (Accelerated Resolution Therapy) and MI (Motivational Interviewing). Finally, in addition to a variety of professional experiences, I have an extensive background in crisis response which includes assessing suicide risk and addressing prevention.
