These workshops will give you an overview of the evolution of consciousness as manifested in creation and humanity from the Big Bang to the present. You will be provided with a comprehensive map with which to understand evolution in consciousness in any human life across cultures. We will explore the different stages and states of consciousness and identify markers of each stage and state in order to more accurately assess where we and our clients are on the journey. We will learn what specific mind, body and spirit practices are applicable to each stage and state in order to facilitate awakening to greater potential, both in yourselves and others. We will explore how to transcend the mundane ego functioning of habitual patterns of defense, leave behind anxiety and shame, guilt and anger and live a life of expanded consciousness, light and freedom, compassion and wisdom. We will give you an overview of stages and states of consciousness and focus on the mind, body, spirit practices that facilitate transcending ego functioning.
Aspects of Consciousness Forums with Lyndall Johnson and Charisse Lyons. Do we clean up debris in our consciousness or do we transform our inner relationship to it? Through inner relational transformation, we can change the course of history – internally and externally.We will look at how shame creates disturbance in our inner wave of consciousness and distracts us from a life of Love and Truth. We will examine how this then translates into external disturbances of every kind that is leading to the death of our planet.
Other Training Opportunities
In this course we will study age and stage appropriate responses to what we notice arising within ourselves. We will learn to recognize the ages within that are young and require a loving response from the mature part of ourselves. This inner intimacy and connection will translate into relationships with others that are meaningful and intimate as well. In this unique 12-week online course with Lyndall Johnson & Charisse Lyons, we will study the developmental needs and capacities of different ages in childhood; emotionally, intellectually, socially and relationally, so that we can see what is required in relationship with those parts of us that have been hurt, neglected, and stuck.
This six-month online course will take you into the inner realms of the the mountain archetype. We will be exploring what it means to have Peak Experiences, which, of necessity, means speaking about valley experiences, too. We will travel a lot of ground internally on this quest. I will be adding teachings and exercises every week for the six months of the course, and you have the opportunity for six 30-minute, one-on-one consultations with me related to the material during the course. Challenging personal situations? Getting triggered by life? The two-hour Saturday Morning Forum is a great and safe group setting to find some keys and tools to unlocking our past to help our own growth and skillfully negotiate our future and our own evolution in consciousness. Explore concepts using movie clips, exercises, discussion and teaching to facilitate a deeper understanding of commonly used terms as a way of speeding up and facilitating the process of therapy. Mindfulness Practice Groups are Saturdays as scheduled via ZOOM. FEE: freewill offering. ($50 donation suggested, sliding fee gratefully accepted.) Our informal Mindfulness Practice Groups feature both meditation and instructional, supportive teachings and discussion about mindfulness, meditation, and contemplative spiritual practice in everyday life. These groups are facilitated by Bussho Lahn, the guiding teacher of Flying Cloud Zen, and all are welcome to these brief immersions in a relaxed meditative setting. Each is different and tailored to the group’s needs. Previous meditation experience not required; meditators of all levels and all faith traditions are invited.
Mindfulness is a fundamental component of creativity and meditation practice as well as being widely recognized in the psychological community as an excellent tool for alleviating stress and all the problems that accompany it. We will talk about creativity as a natural outpouring of mindfulness and mindfulness as essential to cultivating a creative life. Each week there will be a teaching followed by a practical application and experience of mindfulness. This series will help us develop creative day-to-day mindfulness practices so that we more deeply experience and enjoy our precious and fleeting lives. Six weeks annually in September-October.
